2015: A Season of Sowing

I just reviewed last year’s entry, 2014: A Year of Baby Steps, and my heart is filled with gratitude and awe as I recount what has taken place in 2015 entirely by the Lord’s leading and grace…

ARCHIPPUS GOES TO PHILIPPINES: The year opened with an opportunity to share the message of Archippus Awakening in Philippines in January. At the invitation of Pastor Joel Lerios of Jesus My Refuge Church, TEAM ARCHIPPUS made our way into the little known village of Tanauan, Leyte. KINGDOM101: On 4 Feb, 101 turned up for the Introduction Session of KINGDOM101. On 18 Mar, the expository journey through the gospel of Matthew began. Week after week, each Wednesday night, the word of the kingdom is faithfully and boldly declared, challenging all to be reintroduced to Jesus the King, to wholly embrace His kingdom, and to be rightly postured to receive their kingdom assignments. SAY TO ARCHIPPUS: Without doubt, one of the higher points of the year is the commissioning of SAY TO ARCHIPPUS on 27 May. To the glory and praise of God, the first print run of SAY TO ARCHIPPUS was sold out within one month! As at the time of writing this post, stocks are running low and a third print run is being considered. CHURCH CAMPS & SEMINARS: Whether camps or seminars, these are all Awakening Events (AWEs) to us. This year, through the theme of “AWAKENED. ALIGNED. ASSIGNED.”, Archippus Awakening was boldly declared at Shekinah AG Church, Bartley Christian Church (Zone Camp), Hakka Methodist Church, GCWSCS of the Methodist Church in Singapore and Living Waters Methodist Church.

AWE2015: We had our very own Awakening Event in August, involving 66 participants from 32 local churches. The assembly of Archippuses spent the entire weekend together, understanding what it means to be awakened, aligned and assigned. The gathering of representatives from local communities was extremely significant as it exposed everyone to the larger kingdom community, resulting in a deeper appreciation of the Body of Christ and what God is doing in Singapore and beyond.

IN THE LAST DAYS Worldview Conference: On 19 & 20 Nov, Archippus Awakening served the Body of Christ through this worldview conference, in partnership with Worldview Partners, with Bill Muehlenberg as the keynote speaker. Feedback was very positive as many were awakened to the challenges, both internal and external, coming against the Church. These are just the highlights of 2015. For sure, so much more has taken place beyond these events and milestones. Above all, I cherish the relationships and friendships forged with like-minded kingdom people, each an Archippus in his or her own right. The Lord has brought kingdom connections and these have encouraged and edified me greatly along the way! Whether praying or serving alongside, or simply catching up over a cup of coffee, it is exciting to see how God is moving and repositioning His people in these times. I am just so thankful to be given a small part to play, and totally appreciative of the fellow soldiers the Lord has led to co-labour with me.

If 2014 was a year of baby steps, 2015 has been a season of sowing. When Archippus Awakening was birthed on 3 Aug 2014, the Lord prepared me with Psalm 126:5: “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.” And that is what we have been doing – sowing and sowing. When Archippus Awakening turned one in August, the Lord encouraged us with Isaiah 30:23: “He will give rain for your seed with which you sow the ground.” Wow! Who knows what the Lord has in store for us in 2016! We have entered the third year since the message of Archippus Awakening was first deposited in my spirit on 27 Oct 2013. I don’t know for sure, but there is certainly a sense of excitement and anticipation in my heart. And I invite one and all to pray for us and to join us on the continuing journey of Archippus Awakening!

Truly, our God is a great God and He deserves all praise and glory! His kingdom is advancing and He invites His people to participate in what He is doing! Dear Archippus, take heed to what the Lord has assigned to you and be faithful to fulfil it! (Col 4:17).
