Aligning with the King to Discover Kingdom Assignments

Each MAP* batch is similar and yet different.

Some signed up to seek alignment with the King of kings, while others seek to discover their kingdom assignments.

Some were all in while others were hesitant, unsure if they can commit to 7 (+1) months** of meeting weekly on a Saturday morning while managing their different responsibilities.

But at the end of their MAP journey, they are all glad to have invested their time and effort in refining their walk with the Lord in a community of like-minded saints.

MAP teaches that while striving to find kingdom assignments is important, it is even more important to focus on the aligning and let God do the assigning. Because carrying out our kingdom assignments while misaligned is not sustainable nor healthy.

* MAP stands for Mentoring Aligning Process. And those who attend it are called MAPpers.
** MAP runs for 7 months (February to September), including a one-month break in June.

The Cohort of MAP2025

MAP2025 saw 12 mentors walking with 24 MAPpers from February to September 2025. They met once a week on Saturdays, had a 3-day 2-night Silent Retreat at Batam, met at regular intervals with their assigned mentors, and finally graduated on 27th September 2025 with a commencement ceremony. We interviewed a few MAP2025 graduates to hear their thoughts and takeaways.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU DISCOVERED ABOUT YOUR WALK WITH GOD THAT YOU DIDN’T KNOW UNTIL MAP?

“In some areas of life and ministry, I was still working to earn His love, not living and serving from a position of having love and being loved.” – Pastor Jireh Chee, New Destiny Fellowship International

“I learnt the difference between Christian activities and Kingdom assignments, which I did not realise existed until I attended MAP.” – Elena Yap, Cornerstone Community Church

“MAP provided reference points to assess where I am – both in alignment and in areas of misalignment. It is like an audit of my spiritual journey, helping me see things more clearly.” – Adeline Pang, Blessed Grace Church

HAVE YOU DISCOVERED YOUR KINGDOM ASSIGNMENT? HOW DID MAP HELP?

“Yes! MAP clarified some points relating to my assignment and helped me to differentiate between Christian activities and Kingdom assignments.” – Jireh Chee, New Destiny Fellowship International

“Not yet! But while I am waiting for further instructions from the King, I am stepping up to be a facilitator for STAP*.” – Euan Heng, Grace Methodist Church

“Yes! The aligning framework of AREA provided clarity for me.” – Joy, Lighthouse Evangelism

*STAP stands for Say To Archippus Processing, which helps believers process the message and context of Archippus Awakening.

IN YOUR OPINION, WHY SHOULD SOMEONE SIGN UP FOR MAP AND WHY ARE YOU GLAD YOU SIGNED UP FOR IT?

“MAP helps individuals get aligned to the King, giving check and reference points in which to evaluate how is one’s walk with King Jesus. Personally, I’ve gained clarity in my relationship with Jesus and am encouraged to press on further in both submitting and serving Him.” – Jireh Chee, New Destiny Fellowship International

“Yes, I have. I believe the AREA framework is an invaluable tool.” – Adeline Pang, Blessed Grace Church

“I am very glad and grateful that I signed up for MAP. Now I am more focused and directed, having found joy in doing my assignment. Also, I am more at peace and able to rest in the Lord while doing my assignment.” – Elena Yap, Cornerstone Community Church

“If you are looking to have a breakthrough in your spiritual walk and to go deeper into the Word of God, you should sign up for MAP. I got to learn and know the Word of God in a deeper way and also got to connect with a like-minded community.” – Euan Heng, Grace Methodist Church

Not Always Smooth Sailing

But, it is not all smooth sailing, as life happens. Mentors also have hair-pulling moments when MAPpers are not prepared at the sessions, or the same issues get raised again and again because some are not ready to address misalignments.

But even through these challenges, everyone learns. Even the mentors. Because they also get to see their own misalignments. As Katherine Lim, a seasoned mentor, shares:

“My patience was tested time and again, and at times, the frustration showed. I had to check my own misalignment and make a conscious effort to change my attitude.”

But always, cliché as it may be, seeing everyone grow closer in their walk with God is always heartwarming and rewarding.

So if you are looking to align with the King to receive your kingdom assignment to serve in His Kingdom, sign up for MAP today!

More about MAP

MAP is a 7-month aligning initiative of Archippus Awakening, carefully structured and designed to help awakened individuals with the checking of alignment based on the A-R-E-A framework (Alignment–Refinement–Empowerment–Assignment). Beyond denominational distinctives and worship preferences, the focus is the kingdom of God, what it means to love and serve Jesus and the discovery and fulfilment of kingdom assignments. It involves Mentoring, Aligning and Processing.

MENTORING: Through mentoring sessions, MAPpers meet with their assigned mentors for clarification and deeper processing. This is where doctrinal beliefs get translated into personal convictions, and what is learnt is applied more personally and specifically.

ALIGNING: In the group sessions, MAPpers are meaningfully engaged to interact with Scripture and with others in the body of Christ. Each session is entirely run and directed by MAPpers, guided and facilitated by mentors. MAP provides the platform for open sharing and authentic discourse.

PROCESS: More than just a course or programme that ends after seven months, MAP seeks to equip Archippuses with a correct perspective of the on-going need and process of the alignment check. A critical skill and discipline for all on kingdom assignment.
