After declaring the AAA (Awakened, Aligned, Assigned!) message in Kampala, Uganda, AASG headed off to Dubai, UAE. For Part 1 of this article, see Serving Archippuses in Uganda & Dubai.
Dubai! – 8th April
God graciously granted us another safe and comfortable flight from Uganda to Dubai International Airport Terminal 2. Team AAKO-UAE* arranged for three cars to whisk us off to Al Farooj Al Shami for dinner. The rest of Team AAKO-UAE were waiting for us at this lovely place, which served delicious Arabic food.
We had a feast, as you can see from the photos. This is AASG’s** second trip (1st trip was in 2023) to Dubai, and so there was a lot of catching up to do and new friends to be made before we were sent to City Avenue Hotel to wash up and rest for the night.

a+ Meet Up* – 9th April
The next day, we had a slow morning with some of us choosing to rest in the hotel room after breakfast while others went shopping for Dubai delights such as the famous Dubai Kunafa pistachio chocolates and stuffed dates to bring home for loved ones.
And then AASG met some of the AAKO-UAE team and their friends for lunch at DCC Mall. It was basically an AAKO-UAE a+ (ie young Archippuses) meet-up with AASG. There were lots of questions, laughter and a time of connection with each other. And then it was back to the hotel for a rest before the night meeting.

Fulfilling Kingdom Assignments in the Marketplace – 9th April
Fulfilling kingdom assignments in the marketplace is an important and dear topic for Archippuses living in Dubai as they are all in Dubai for work reasons. Although most who attended were Filipinos, there were a handful from Uganda and Rwanda.
Henson did a brief introduction of who Archippus is and what Archippus Awakening’s assignment is before diving into the importance of DISCERNING AND MOVING WITH GOD’S KAIROS.
We are grateful to be part of these Archippuses’ journeys as they seek to fulfil their kingdom assignments in Dubai.
We are also grateful for our partnership with AAKO-UAE, headed by Zandra and Steve, plus their team, who did a marvellous job organising and managing the event. We were definitely well fed by them, too.
Then it was back to the hotel before taking an early morning flight back to Singapore. While no one was assigned bulkhead seats this time around, we had lots of empty seats around us, and so we all had a comfortable flight back home.

And we all agreed with Susheel that the biggest blessing of this trip was THE PEOPLE! Getting to interact with the locals, especially the AAKO team members, was the highlight for all of us.
