I thought about the year ahead and an impression came to mind.
It was a picture of thousands of planes and flight paths. I googled and found a few of these images, for illustration. This is representative of increasing activity all over the world, both in the natural and in the spiritual. Especially for churches and ministries, post-Covid, we have become busier than ever before.
Quite immediately, I received this consideration:
In a CLIMATE of increasing CHAOS and CONFUSION, how certain and clear one is of the COURSE and CO-ORDINATES will culminate either in meaningful CONNECTIONS and COLLABORATIONS or massive COLLISIONS and CRASHES.
Given the recent spate of airplane incidents around the world at the start of the year (and still happening – just read about the Delta Air Lines plane that flipped upon landing), I understood the significance of this impression. I believe this is a message and a warning to be heeded.
In a time of turmoil, turbulence, Trump and the Tesla-guy, tariffs?, twists and turns are only to be expected. The key is to know the course, to stay the course. For this, precise co-ordinates are critical. The need for constant checking of bearings and alignment.
Like the air incidents that have traumatisd, hurt and claimed lives, it is sad that we have also witnessed collisions and crashes in churches and ministries, in the Body of Christ, affecting many believers.
Travellers understand how important it is that connections are not missed. This can make the difference between getting stuck and getting home. Similarly, for personal and ministry ‘flight paths’. In the days ahead, those with clear courses and co-ordinates will make kingdom connections which lead to meaningful collaborations that further and fulfil kingdom purposes. Guided and directed, of course, by the Holy Spirit, our divine Air Traffic Controller.
I am not one to give word or words for the year. This is not my practice. As such, I share this carefully, with fear and trembling. Humbly, I submit this for your own prayerful discernment. If it means nothing, simply disregard and discard it.
My one and only desire is that this helps and encourages so that many more may be pointed to Jesus and be rightly directed by the Holy Spirit to be certain and clear of their kingdom courses (assignments) and co-ordinates (alignment) for the way ahead.
