The Archippian Strategic Process
In my article “An Archippus Awakening Webinar: The Awakening Context”, I wrote that every person who has heard the AA message remembers these three words loud and clear: Awakened. Aligned. Assigned. Summing up the thrust of the AA message, the three words are collectively known as the Archippian Strategic Process. More recently, this process has been broadened to the Awakening Context, the Alignment Check and the Assignment Culture. This Awakening Context provides the basis for a required constant Alignment Check. An understanding of how to constantly check alignment is needed as alignment clarifies assignments and assignments reveal misalignments. Out of an alignment with our King, we move on kingdom assignment; as opposed to a volunteer-mentality. When more and more in the Body of Christ serve with such kingdom purpose and conviction, an Assignment Culture is created.
Soldiers, Align!
At the sounding of the shofar, AWE2021 kicked off, welcoming participants across the Body of Christ in Singapore and the nations who zoomed in to learn what it means to check alignment. Soldiers, align!
After setting the Awakening Context in place, Henson unpacked the aspects of the Alignment Check framework: Alignment, Refinement, Empowerment and Assignment. God spoke powerfully, breaking wrong mindsets and building kingdom truths even as He challenged His people to check alignment with Him and His kingdom purposes.
Pause a while and think about this: Is Jesus or religion our reference point? Do we talk Christian and not live kingdom? As we were spurred to take stock and take action, great questions were asked and answered at the Q&A segment. The teaching was reinforced at the robust Archippus Articulation in the various breakout groups. The Archippian stories helped us see misalignments and realignments at work in the lives of the eight Archippuses who shared authentically.
Henson himself testified, “Although the content of AWE remains largely the same, the delivery is somewhat different each time. This is because I am also constantly aligning and realigning – and that affects the way I share and teach. In the same way, although many of you have attended and served at AWE before, you are also aligning and realigning. And together, we are all aligning more and more with one another as we declare the message of Archippus Awakening and the Alignment Check framework.”
A brother in Christ spoke on behalf of many of us when he expressed his awe at how God spoke personally to him. He shared that he had been struggling in the refinement stage and circumstances had changed for the worse, pushing him deeper into feeling alone.
“Pastor Henson’s exact words, “when God puts us in situations where we are at our wits’ end”, started to speak to me,” he wrote, “and then he followed up with “sometimes we feel alone, but Jesus said He will never leave us nor forsake us”, wow, exactly what I have been praying about!”
That was his heartfelt sentiment, a moment when he felt something stir in him as he received the comfort from God that He had heard him through Pastor Henson. Certainly, for all of us, as we received the teaching on the Alignment Check framework, there would be a lot more to digest and no little to reflect upon. Pray with us that we may continue to incline our ears to hear what the Spirit of the King is saying to us, whether in Singapore or the nations. We want to see Archippuses who know how to check alignment moving purposefully on kingdom assignments for the Lord!
Ongoing Alignment Check
Alignment Check is ongoing. It is all about Christ and it can only be accomplished with and through the Spirit of the Christ. It is not another event to attend or another programme to be completed. It is a life skill to be embraced.
What about your kingdom assignment? Trust God in this process. Focus on the aligning. Let God do the assigning.
