Reviewing God’s prophetic messages during this time, Ps Henson reminded us firstly that there is a collective pause. God has pressed the pause button globally. As people of God, we want to respond correctly. We see that churches have suspended their services but the Church is still aLIVE and in touch with what God is doing. We are exhorted to pause and pray, asking God what He wants us to learn and how He wants us to respond so that when He releases the play button, we are ready to partner Him in His kingdom advancement.

Pause and Pray: Play

Secondly, we need a correct posture. Fear cannot rule us, we must have faith in God. Do we understand His sovereignty? Do we know that the measure of our lifespan is on His hands? Yes, be responsible but don’t be fearful. When our faith is in God, our focus is on the things of His kingdom. And watch how, amidst all the restrictions, God downloads fresh ways of doing kingdom things. Are you on kingdom assignments? God will give you new ideas.

Covid-19: Faith First

Ps Henson went on to remind us not to waste the space that has been freed up. Don’t fill up what God has freed up. Do we have free time now? Use it wisely. Check our alignment with Him. Are we mistaking church online as church aligned? Replacing an on-site service with an online one is good, but just because we are online does not mean we are aligned. Pause and reflect, pause and check alignment.

Covid-19 Disruptions: Two Reminders for the Church

Finally, Ps Henson gave a word of encouragement on seeking God’s kingdom from Matthew 6:33-34

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

Matthew‬ ‭6:33-34

The LORD says do not worry. The Father knows what we need. Seek first His kingdom. Use this time to pause and pray.

God is using this time to do a great shaking but we have received a kingdom that cannot be shaken. What is our foundation? Our part is to seek Him and His kingdom, to know who our King is, and all these things will be added to us. Kingdom people are getting creative ways to help the homeless, the down and out, the needy. The Church needs to come alive to receive kingdom assignments and move on them. As we pause and pray, God is going to use us to help someone, or to become the answer to someone else who is also pausing and praying.

Things are changing everyday, but take one day at a time.

Would you pause and pray?

About Go Viral With Prayer
In response to the Covid-19 situation, the Lord led Ps Henson to go “live” on Facebook to pray and to bring words of encouragement in these uncertain times. On 13 February 2020, Henson went online for the first time, encouraging all to go viral with prayer. This is how the subsequent broadcasts came to be known as Go Viral With Prayer sessions. #goviralwithprayer
