Rosh Hashanah 5778: A Fresh Revelation for a New Year. Are You Listening?

It’s another set up!

Last Rosh Hashanah, the Lord encouraged me through Numbers 10:1-10.

After sharing the message of Archippus Awakening that evening, two young ladies were prompted to pray for me. The first impression received was that of the silver trumpets in Numbers 10:1-10. That was a very clear affirmation for me – Archippus Awakening is to sound a clarion call to awaken the saints, to gather the people of God, to rally the troops. A while later, I realised that Rosh Hashanah, the start of the Jewish new year, was just around the corner. Interestingly, Rosh Hashanah is also known as Yom Teruah, the Feast of Trumpets, where the shofar or trumpet is sounded to awaken everyone from their slumber. This year, the Lord builds upon this understanding and reveals even deeper and greater significance! In celebration of Rosh Hashanah 5778, this video was shared on our prayer chat group:

As I heard the explanation of the Call of the Shofar by Rabbi Elka Abrahamson and Rabbi Peter J. Rubinstein, I couldn’t believe my ears! When the shofar is blown during yom teruah (the Feast of Trumpets) each year, the sounds are not random at all. The first sound is tekiah, one long blast: Awaken! Take note of what is happening around you.  The second is shevarim, three medium blasts: Take measure of where we and others have gone wrong. The third, teruah, is a series of nine short staccato notes that urges one to action. We can no longer be bystanders! According to shofar.co, “teruah resembles a giant alarm clock, reminding us to complete the mission. It brings clarity, alertness and focus.” And finally, tekiah gedolah, one extra long blast. It’s a wake-up call that enters not only our ears but also our hearts and souls, asking, “Are you listening?”

I was watching, listening and going, “Wow! Wow! Wow! Is this for real?!” They essentially described the strategic process of Archippus Awakening: AWAKENED. ALIGNED. ASSIGNED.

When the Lord first prompted me with these three words, I had no idea that these were proclaimed each year at yom teruah through the blasts of the shofar. We have been declaring these words as our battle cry at each Archippus Awakening event. More than just a rallying call for all Archippuses at the end of a seminar or camp, it is a prophetic declaration that many more Archippuses will be awakened, aligned and assigned for Jesus and His kingdom. With this fresh understanding of tekiah, shevarim and teruah, there is now even greater significance for us. Wow! Wow! Wow!

I love how the Lord reveals bit by bit because everything happens according to His time. True to His word, this past year has seen new doors open as “we entered a season of Rehoboth, of spaciousness and fruitfulness.” With this added dimension to what we have already been declaring, I believe Rosh Hashanah 5778 will be even more exciting! And yes, 8 is the number of new beginnings.

Personally, this encourages me so, so much. Often, it can get very challenging and even discouraging. Praise the Lord for lifting my spirits! He has given me new strength with the assurance that we are on track. By His grace, I will continue to “sound the trumpet even more boldly and clearly, awakening the saints to know and fulfil their God-given kingdom assignments.”

The Lord is awakening the saints, calling each to align with Him that many more may be assigned for Him! Are you listening?
