4 Different Churches, 3 Different Themes
And yet all focused on helping the saints stay awake to fulfil their kingdom assignments while continually checking alignment with the King and His purposes.
June is church camp season for the Singapore church. Interestingly, the church doesn’t really do camp the way the word “camp” means but rather we gather as a body, usually in Malaysia or Indonesia, to go deeper – with God and with each other.
And this June, Henson was invited to speak at 4 of these church camps held in Kuala Lumpur, Malacca and Batam.
As Henson has often shared: “When God opens the door, I open my mouth.”
So as God opened the way for Henson to speak at these churches, he opened his mouth and spoke.
𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗘 𝗞𝗟
1st-3rd June 2025. Millenia Village, Seremban, Malaysia.
ALIGNING AFTER AWAKENING
The first church to start off the church camp season was with Revival Centre KL, a Malaysian church based in Kuala Lumpur.
Back in 2024, Ps Ronnie had invited Ps Henson to share the AAA message with his congregation.

For their church camp this year, Ps Ronnie thought that it would be apt for Ps Henson to continue Part 2 of the Awakening message which focuses on the alignment process.
The camp kicked off at the Sunday service on 1 June at Revival Centre KL. Henson provided a brief introduction to the awakening message before delving into the need for alignment following an awakening. He ended the service with a challenge to the people,
“What has the Lord awakened you to. How will you align?”
This helped to prepare the campers for the sessions starting Sunday night at Millenia Village where Henson shared the Alignment Check framework to guide the campers on how check their alignment after an awakening.
𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗡 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗟𝗬 (𝗥𝗖𝗔)

Camp Theme: DRAW ME NEARER
After the 3-day 2-night Camp with Revival Centre KL, we had a short one-day break before diving straight into RCA’s Camp.
Pastors Sabrina and Henson took turns to share messages based on the Camp theme of Draw Me Nearer.
Besides speaking on Draw Near to Hear, Draw Near to Align and Draw Near to the Spirit’s Fire, Henson also conducted a workshop touching on the Means of 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐍𝐞𝐚𝐫 through the Spiritual Disciplines.
Interspersed with the teachings was a worship night and a fun night of parable skits put up by the campers.
FAIRFIELD METHODIST CHURCH
15-18 June 2025. Holiday Inn Melaka, Malaysia.
Camp Theme: AWAKEN: CITADEL OF LIGHT
Being #awakened is a necessary first step. Next comes the critical need to be #aligned to the King and His Kingdom’s purposes. Then as we focus on the aligning God will do the #assigning.
We pray that amid the laughter and feasting of food, may God continue to lead and guide the saints to be on fire and on kingdom assignment for His glory.
NEW HORIZON CHURCH
19-22 June 2025. Aston Batam Hotel and Residences, Indonesia.
At the last but not least of the camps, we are grateful for the Holy Spirit’s sustained enablement to keep on ringing the alarm clock for the saints to be #awakened #aligned and #assigned in these chaotic and uncertain times.
There was also a reminder that busyness does not necessarily mean fruitfulness. And a challenge was issued to not to let a plastic chair hold us back #𝐢𝐲𝐤𝐲𝐤
Our prayer at Archippus Awakening is that we will all know and fulfil our kingdom assignments and not just busy ourselves with Christian activities.

And finally, a big thank you to the camp committees of Revival Centre KL, Risen Christian Assembly, Fairfield Methodist Church, and New Horizon Church.
Organising camps and retreats for huge groups of people is always challenging. It can be a logistical nightmare. We know because we organise our own #AWE retreats annually.
We don’t expect it, but we totally appreciate it when the camp committees try their best to make us feel welcomed with their specially curated welcome pack, and when they host us to meals in and out of the campsite. This time, besides snacks, we were also blessed with Pee Pa Gao and Ricola candy!
We’re also very appreciative when blessed with treats like keropok and kueh lapis that campers buy on their free and easy afternoon shopping trips to town.
And we were surprised and impressed when we saw that the people of Fairfield Methodist Church even brought their professional coffee machine (not a Nespresso) and oatmilk for their campers!
That is certainly one way to keep the campers #awakened #aligned and #assigned!
We are grateful that the Lord was with us at the various camps, enabling us to teach and minister with His empowerment. We wait in anticipation to see what He has in store for both the campers and for us in the days ahead.
