Henson Lim
Born into a Christian family and environment, Henson learned and did all things Christian without experiencing a real relationship with Jesus. After an 11-year detour from church life, Henson rediscovered his faith in 1994 and a new hunger was birthed in him. Henson developed a love for the Word and was also exposed to the move of the Holy Spirit in his life.
Receiving the call to full-time ministry on 8 Jul 2000, Henson finally stepped out of his father’s advertising business on 1 Jan 2004 to pursue his Master of Divinity at TCA College (formally known as Theological Centre for Asia). Whilst studying, and a Ministry Partner at Covenant Vision Centre, the Lord opened many opportunities for him to preach and teach across various churches and platforms.
Upon graduation in 2006, Henson took up the challenge to formalise and design a curriculum for Covenant Vision School of Ministry (CVSOM). This was launched in 2007 as the Certificate in Practical Christian Ministry. A subsequent Diploma programme was introduced a year later. In 2008, when Covenant Vision Christian Church was birthed, Henson was commissioned as one of the pioneer pastors. The very next year, he was ordained as the Reverend Henson Lim and appointed as the Deputy Senior Pastor, concurrently holding his position as Dean of CVSOM.
On 3 Oct 2013, Henson received fresh instructions from the Lord to relinquish his pastoral position that he may develop a new ministry. After a period of notice and handing over, Henson stepped out once again, on 1 Jan 2014, exactly ten years after his entry into full-time ministry. In March 2014, the Lord challenged Henson to release his Isaac in Covenant Vision School of Ministry. To this end, Henson vacated the position of Dean of CVSOM on 1 July 2014.
Having received a fresh kingdom assignment in Archippus Awakening, Henson is resolutely clear that over the next years, every ounce of energy, resource and gifting will be channelled into the awakening and aligning of Archippuses who will know and fulfil their God-given kingdom assignments.
Henson’s weblog is ONE DAY AT A TIME where he shares his personal journey, convictions and challenges. Henson is married to Serene and they have seven children. The family worships at Full Gospel Assembly Singapore.
