“Ps Henson, I think we really need Say To Archippus in Bahasa Malaysia!”
In 2024, Rev Canon James TV Lee started bringing the message of Say To Archippus to his congregation in Beaufort Sabah, Malaysia. He began by using Say To Archippus in Bahasa Indonesia with a small group. However, although they found it helpful, there were phrases and colloquialisms used in the book that were not familiar to the people in Malaysia. So he started pushing for the book to be translated into the Bahasa Malaysia language for the people who spoke mostly Bahasa Malaysia.
Rev Canon James is our Archippus Awakening Kingdom Outpost (AAKO) partner in Sabah Malaysia, since 2020. He started faithfully declaring the Awakened, Aligned and Assigned message of Archippus Awakening when he was based in Sandakan Sabah, where we first commissioned the Alignment Check book in Chinese in 2022.
Translation Work Begins
And so the translation work began in earnest in 2024. Elvinalisa Cadoly (Lisa) was the one who bravely took on the challenge, supported by Rev James Ming Sabaran, Rev Canon James TV Lee, Wendy Lee and Jocelyna John, who helped to proofread the book.
It was a group effort indeed. There was a lot of to and fro, especially towards the end, before the book was finally printed and delivered to Beaufort Sabah in early August 2025.
It was agreed that Say To Archippus Bahasa Malaysia would be commissioned during the AAA Seminar in Beaufort.
AAA Seminar in Beaufort, Sabah
29th – 30th August 2025
Even before the AAA seminar could be declared in Sabah, Team SG was challenged to stretch out our faith.
Less than 5 minutes to landing in Kota Kinabalu International Airport, our plane contended with intense turbulence and had to pull up, fly another 30 minutes and land in Miri Sarawak instead to wait out the storm.
They were heart-stopping minutes indeed.
And then it’s all systems go as Henson went on to declare the awakened, aligned, and assigned message to the Archippuses of Beaufort, Sabah, with Rev Canon James translating into Bahasa Malaysia.
Archippian Stories were also shared by Susheel (in Bahasa Malaysia!), Siew Hoon, Lee Eng and Carol Bordado.
Say To Archippus Processing (STAP)
Rev Canon James also shared about Say To Archippus Processing (STAP) so that those who have been awakened through the sessions can take it one step further by personalising and contextualising the message for themselves. The conference then ended with a meaningful time of prayer and ministry.
Sunday Service
Henson also preached at the Sunday Service of St Paul’s Church on 31 August from Matthew 8:28-34 before the team left for Kota Kinabalu to enjoy the city sights (plus a sunset!) and more food of course!
Book Commissioning
Held between the AAA Seminar sessions, the Book Commissioning was held on 30th August 2025 (Saturday) at St Paul’s Church, Beaufort Sabah, Malaysia.
The teams from Singapore and AAKO-Sabah gathered around the books to pray and commission the book to be a good resource for Sabah and beyond, and that God will not only move the books but He will move the hearts of those who read it so that more will be awakened, aligned, and assigned for His kingdom and glory.
By the grace of God, the book has already been translated into Chinese, Bahasa Indonesia, Luganda and Nepali.
Takeaways from Team SG
Siew Hoon shared,
“The storm on Thursday, 28 September which caused the flight to be redirected to Miri Airport in Sarawak, had certain spiritual significance. I felt we needed to contend for victory for both the seminar and the Book Commissioning. The Lord assured us that His Spirit had rained down over the Seminar venue through the heavy downpour just before the AAA Seminar kicked off. In fact, I was surprised to see that all who had signed up (except for one) for the Seminar were already seated before the rain stopped. Hallelujah! I noticed that throughout the entire seminar, most of the participants really paid attention to Ps Henson’s preaching. Some were even taking notes diligently. Praise the Lord!”
Grace’s highlight was,
“Hearing the AAA message being proclaimed with power in Bahasa Melayu and the commissioning of the Bahasa Melayu version of Say to Archippus. It is yet another milestone for AA. Praise and glory be to God!”
Susheel said that,
“The commissioning of the BM version of STA was definitely the high point for me. Knowing that those who speak the language now have a resource they can use to understand the awakening context and to stay awake! On a personal note, having the opportunity to put another part of my education to work in service to the King was another highlight. Sharing my Archippian story in BM was nerve-wrecking but great fun too. I pray someone gained something from it.”
Prayer for AAKOSabah
As always, we know that we can plan and strategise but it is the Lord who will move hearts for His kingdom’s purposes. So these are some of our prayers for AAKO-Sabah as they take up the challenge to awaken and align more Archippuses so that they can be postured to receive their kingdom assignments from the Lord.
Siew Hoon
“I pray that all the participants are truly awakened and desiring to process the awakening message, and that BM STA will soon “fly” and “land “ in Sarawak and West Malaysia to awaken the believers there. May the Lord show Ps James and Sister Emily the way to move forward for AAKO Sabah.”
Grace
“My prayer for Ps James and Emily is for the Lord to grant them His wisdom and grace to form a core team and to raise Archippuses from the ground up in Beaufort and the surrounding region.”
Susheel
“My prayer is that Ps James and Emily will be able to form a core team soon so that they can be more effective in echoing the message of AA in Sabah – in all 3 languages!”
Building the Arc
It was not all ministry and preaching. Thanks to the wonderful hospitality of Rev Canon James and his lovely wife, Emily, Team SG enjoyed our stay in the rectory of St Paul’s Church with yummy home-cooked food by Emily.
We also got a chance to wander around the town of Kota Kinabalu and enjoyed walks and sunsets as a team. All great for team bonding!
May the Lord continue to use AAKO-Sabah to echo the message of awakened, aligned and assigned to the region and beyond! And may the book be a blessing to all who read it.
