Kingdom Assignments

This may be a generalisation but the following familiar Christian terms have come to be perceived as such:

CALL: Only for the spiritual elite or those who are walking extremely close to God. Not for the average Christian. It would also mean leaving a salaried job to serve full-time as a pastor or missionary in a foreign land, often with little or no money at all a.k.a. living by faith.

MINISTRY: If not called into the clergy (pastor and missionary again), then being involved in one of the many activities in the church.

DESTINY: Something that sounds really good but you can’t quite put your finger on what it actually is. Sounds like a dream job but could be scary like a nightmare too, since the walk of faith is not for the faint-hearted.

This is why Archippus Awakening prefers to use the word assignment, simply, an assigned task. It is simple and direct but no less important. We believe that each believer has an assignment, or a series of assignments, that contributes to the larger purposes of the Kingdom. And like Archippus, we are reminded that this assignment is to be received and fulfilled.

Do you know your God-given assignment?
Are you equipped to carry out that assignment?
Are you fulfilling the assignment?

That said, one cannot fulfil an assignment without first knowing what that assignment is. And yet, knowing does not necessarily mean one has an idea how to go about fulfilling that assignment. Hence, the need for teaching, training, equipping and subsequently direction, attachment and placement; not necessarily in the local church, but most definitely in the Kingdom!

Archippus Awakening seeks to serve all that one day as many would stand before our Lord and Master to hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
