Honouring every Archippus who served at AAA Seminar 2017

Saturday, 1 April 2017, 8:31am, the morning of the “Awakened. Aligned. Assigned.” Seminar at Living Waters Methodist Church.

My son Aaron was taking some test shots when he snapped this photo of his sister.

Down on the first level, the worship team was rehearsing, and the prayer team was interceding. The sound man was dashing up and down, ensuring that monitors were in place and the sound levels acceptable. Outside the auditorium, the registration team and ushers were receiving the seminar participants. I was waiting patiently for my turn to test the microphone and to have my laptop connected for projection.

Up on the second level, Esther appears oblivious to all that was happening below, focussed only on the task at hand. It didn’t matter what was going on or who was there (or not). Here was an Archippus who knew her assignment, and was fully committed to fulfilling it faithfully.

No one would see her at work, nor would anyone even know who handled the projection. And yet, anonymity was not an issue for her, for she knows the Lord knows her by name and for sure, saw her duty, dedication and devotion that day. She was clear of her assignment and how that contributed to the larger kingdom picture of the awakening of the saints through what would declared. It would be a long and tiring day. But because she is anything but aimless, that clarity of purpose would keep her keeping on, not just for her father as the speaker; but more significantly for Jesus, her Master.

The more I look at this photo, the more I appreciate it. (Of course, I am very proud of my children, but that is not the focus here. Or, is it? I believe our heavenly Father is also pleased with all who serve in accordance with His will.) I love the simplicity of the shot and how it says so much so effectively. It honours every Archippus who co-laboured on kingdom assignment that more may be awakened, aligned and assigned for Jesus!

Indeed, there were many like Esther that day, serving diligently, sacrificially, quietly and anonymously at AAA Seminar 2017. Thank you, Team Archippus & Living Waters Methodist Church!
